His artwork is very diverse – it constantly changes and develops over the years. It oscillates between abstract and figurative form, often blending the two seamlessly. He mainly uses expressive colors, combined with dynamic shapes and elements. Igor works mainly with the technique of acrylic on canvas, sometimes with added elements of assemblage.
Igor also works as a musician and lyricist. Four of his author’s CDs have already been released. Two books of lyrics to his songs was also published.
He performs solo with the folk repertoire or with his folk-rock group Igor has received several awards for his work.
Igor graduated from the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (1980-85) and two-year study of graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava (1986-87)
His work is characterized by a number of disciplines in which he works professionally. The main ones are free graphics and painting, book illustration, ex libris creation and also graphic design. He also creates chamber and monumental works for architecture.
Igor regularly exhibits and participates in international exhibitions and events. He has exhibited independently in metropolises such as Prague, Brussels, Helsinki, Warsaw, Larnaca, Shanghai, Ottawa, Vienna, Moscow, Rome ….
He has a rich participation in international art symposia and creative stays in various countries of the world (Italy, Greece, Turkey, China, Hungary, Slovenia, Poland, Lithuania, Bulgaria, South Korea, Armenia …)
The paintings and graphics at this exhibition present a visual image of the world and feelings – knowledge of the human and artistic soul.
They have their artistic realism, symbolism, poetry and fantasy. As well as aesthetics, modern visuals and also poetry and music.
