Tim Cutler is a maker of things – an award-winning poet and filmmaker and creator of sculpture and design transposed from 3D to the 2. Revealed is an interest in the vivacity of form as much as its depletion; a tangling with geopolitics, intrinsic materials, intangibility and the numinous. He studied English Literature at Manchester Met University in the UK, sculpture at Visva Barati University, India and film at the European Film College in Denmark.
Long periods of work and travel in the Far East, Middle East and sundry other directions find recall in his output. Now hobbled by chronic ill-health, he lives deep in the English countryside where disability is bested by the conjured.
