Born in Santiago Chile, 1981 . Studied in Valparaíso Chile and received a degree of Architecture and Urbanism. Based in New York since 2010.
My work is based in the geopolitical contemporary problem of urbanist scene and their social impact in their communities and the way we approach the space and their different ways to be measured.
My investigation as an artist and an architect is to show the impact of today’s political interest. How large developers are destroying the quality of life in the big cities, and how the older heritage is disappearing from this new economy capitalism, that are not measuring the consequence for the future of our urban areas. The social movement of gentrification is getting empowered, displacing people to the suburbs and creating a division in the social environment.
The artworks are made from images and drawings that I got from traveling around the globe and studying the urban complexity and the architectural background of ruins, heritage buildings and sacred places.
