Israel Da Costa

Israel was born into a family of Evangelical Christians in 1969. He was the first son of a farmer and spent the first years of his life on a farm in the northeast of Brazil.

In l986, Israel traveled to Sao Paulo, where he visited the Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo, visits to museums were frequent, there he came into contact with works of masters such as; Portinari, Di Cavalcanti, Renoir, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Monet , Manet, Degas, Picasso, Miro, Salvador Dali, among others.

Israel art studies includes the School Pan American Art and the French Colette Pujol in Sao Paulo.

In l989, he attended the Art Salon of Anapolis, with two paintings that have evoked a unique style. That same year held an exhibition in honor of Salvador Dalí, at the time of his death.

l990, solo exhibition, Itau-Gallery, Sao Paulo.

1994, solo exhibition, Cultural Telemig, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
