Roberto Alborghetti

Professional reporter, author and visual artist, Roberto Alborghetti has written about sixty books (biographies, interviews, stories, books for children).

He created “LaceR/Actions”, a multidisciplinary project concerning macro photography and close-up photography of decomposed and torn publicity posters, natural cracks and scratches, urban and industrial tokens. Impressed by photo camera and transferred on canvases, reproduced on lithographic prints or textiles, re-built on collages or scanned in video clips, the details of natural unraveling take on surprising palettes of shapes and colors. It’s the aesthetics of decomposition, “that beauty zone where there is an optimal mix of order and disorder (so Andreas Keller said about Roberto Alborghetti’s project).

Art critics and experts said that Roberto Alborghetti’s art has an “exceptional and evocative dynamic”, “a strong power of language”; he shows “new points of observation that overwhelm canonical trial systems”, ” He breaks the current patterns of visual art”, his artworks “are explosions of color, passion, joy, sorrow, story, emotion, beauty, love…”, “They touch us on the raw and go straight to the heart”, ” a provocation to our eyes and to our mind”.

The most recent Roberto Alborghetti Shows (“Colors of an Apocalypse”) took place in wonderful and impressive locations, as the RoccaAldobrandesca (a XIII Century fortress in Tuscany, Siena, Italy) and as the Romanesque Bapstistery in Lenno, on Lake Como. Roberto Alborghetti’s art has been the focus of “Atelier of colors and emotions”, a project which involved children with disabilities (Autism Spectrum Syndrome). Another of the most recent and acclaimed projects is “The Ghost Bus”, in collaboration with Bartons PLC and ACT Group (Art, Culture, Tourism) in Nottingham, UK. The photographs that Roberto took around an old and rusty English bus have become video clips, postcards and innovative elements of visual art.

Finally, 10 photographic images were acquired exclusively in Florida to give life to a new and extraordinary collection of bags, purses, wallets and fashion accessories.
